BobbyGlam Hair Extensions at the Glamour Awards

Kelly Brook’s hair was styled into an on-trend braided chignon for the Glamour Awards last night … we LOVED it!! Kelly’s updo had a helping hand from BobbyGlam Hair Extensions and was the perfect choice of hairstyle for her red carpet appearance. Kelly’s white lace Azagury dress was simply stunning too … SO glamorous!!

We were also crushing over Myleene Klass and her choice of hair style for the Glamour Awards: Myleene Klass’ hair was styled half-up and half-down with BobbyGlam Hair Extensions. She had loose curls through the lengths of her hair … LOVELY! We think her black lace dress was just perfect too!!

Braided Chignon Hair Tutorial

With this glorious weather beaming down on us we are all needing a super cute updo to keep us cool and the braided chignon is just perfect! :) Braids are a huge summer hair trend this year and besides this they make any style look uber feminine and pretty.

The braided chignon has been seen on many celebs on the red carpet and is THE perfect style for any summer event: be it sunbathing on the beach, a family BBQ or that perfect summer party. Not only that the style is super easy to do in just a few simple steps!

Step One

Decide if you want to put your chignon to the side or in the middle. If you’re using a full head of hair extensions, fit these according to the positioning of your chignon, it may be best to fit a few more to the one side or upside down! Pull all hair into position and secure with an elastic. Alternatively the BG wrap around ponytail can be used in either position after this has been secured :)

Step Two

Section your ponytail into two and then split one of these sections into two again. Use sectioning clips to keep the sections seprated.

Step Three

First, you want to braid the largest section of hair: it may be worth pinning the lose sections up out of your way! When the braid is complete, secure the ends with an elastic. You now need to create the chignon shape with the braid which is easily done by simply twisting this until it wraps around itself. Pin the ends of the braid underneath so that the ends can be neatly tucked away!

Step Four

Take the first smaller section and braid this, either use a pin or a smaller elastic to hold the ends. Repeat with the other small section of hair.

Step Five

The smaller braids now need to be wrapped around the large braid. Wrap one from left to right and the other right to left!

And there we have an oh-so easy braided chignon to make all your friends envious of! Make this look even more summery by adding in a few flowers or glam it up with some sparkle!

Lady Gaga’s Hair

Lady Gaga’s hair is always a cut above the rest; it’s always taken to the extremes and Gaga creates the most imaginative styles … we are literally kept in awe by the different hairstyles she so frequently comes out with.
Lady Gaga always makes an entrance wherever she goes and with THAT hair we can see why!!

The latest show stopping appearance was in the simplest of places (an airport) where we saw Lady Gaga touch down in Tokyo rocking a multi coloured mane which mimicked something we would usually see on My Little Pony! We think it looks incredible though. Lady Gaga’s hair is SO long in this style we can only imagine how heavy it must feel on her head! How does she do it?!

The hair is styled into a bun and then the ma-husive ponytail falls from the front from a twist entwined into the bun! We think it’s quite the masterpiece! We are also loving the collage of shades used in Lady Gaga’s Hair, maybe she was paying homage to where the bright hair colour trend originated?! The very next day, Lady Gaga was seen leaving her hotel in Hong Kong rocking a completely different hairdo! This time she opted to leave the mane in her hotel room, and instead Lady Gaga’s hair was styled into a high bun on the side of her head! Of course, it was an over-sized bun; Gaga does literally EVERYTHING big, but it was a much more subtle look compared to her extra long mane she was spotted with the day before! We’re not so sure about the saucer-like headpiece she is wearing with her bun, but Lady Gaga continues to catch the eye, none-the-less, with her crazy style!

Lady Gaga was then seen with a more casual, dressed down look compared to what she is usually seen tottering around in! She kept it simple with a monochrome dress and some black heels! Lady Gaga’s hair was also worn much more casually than we’ve seen it for a long time — back to her bright blonde tresses — she simply wore it down with some curls through the ends. However in true Gaga style, her hair was kept incredibly long, falling past the bottom of her back, so she managed to keep some of her boldness intact!

We LOVE how Lady Gaga’s hair is forever changing and the different styles she comes up with and we’re forever being amazed by her, so we can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!!
